Core values are at the heart of our life and work. Values are not worth much unless they are translated into actions. These are the values which touch our hearts, stir our emotions, and move us to action!
Experiencing God’s Love and Grace
We value the free gift of salvation in Christ Jesus and the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. We believe we cannot earn God’s love, acceptance and forgiveness and just as we’ve received this free gift we are called to extend it to others.
Believing the Bible
We value the Bible as God’s living, inspired, inerrant and authoritative Word. The Bible is the foundation of who we are, what we believe and everything we do. We are committed to preaching, teaching, counseling, sharing and living by the sufficiency of the whole counsel of God, because it contains everything we need for life and godliness.
Davidic Praise and Worship
We value heartfelt worship that is God-honoring, Spirit-directed, and life-changing. As believers we are spiritual priests who offer spiritual sacrifices to God. We respond in worship by the biblical expressions of clapping, shouting, singing, dancing, lifting hands, bowing and kneeling.
Manifested Presence of the Holy Spirit
We value the indwelling, leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit in our personal and corporate life. The baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit are part of our basic belief system.
Prayer and Intercession
We believe that both personal and corporate prayers are absolutely essential if the Church is to succeed.
We believe The NT Church was birthed in prayer, it continued steadfast in prayer, and bathed all its activities and ministries in prayer. The Bible clearly calls the Church “a house of prayer for all nations” (Is. 56:7; Mt. 21:13). If that is the name God has chosen for His house, prayer should be a major focus of all our services. Prayer will be a pipeline through which the Spirit can move.
We believe that God’s heart for the lost needs to be our heart also, whether across the street or across the ocean. We believe that the extension of the kingdom of God is the function and ministry of the Church and so we value an active and loving witness of Christ to all people.
We value the command of Christ to love God with all of our being and to love others as we love ourselves. We believe God has called us to be a family, enjoying Godly relationships. We do so by developing deeper relationships with other believers through small groups called Life Groups that result in encouragement and accountability.
We value integrity in relationships and mutual accountability in an atmosphere of grace, love, and acceptance. Uprightness, trustworthiness and transparency are our best foundation stones.
Unity and Diversity
God’s purpose is to make all people into one for the glory of God. We believe that the church should be inclusive, not exclusive and as the people of God we should represent what the Lord intended His Body to become in our community; a multi-cultural, multi-racial, and multi-generational church.
We value serving others at their point of need, following the example of our Lord Jesus.
We believe God deserves the best we have to offer; therefore we seek to maintain a high quality of excellence in everything connected to the work of God.
